I got this idea when I saw the glass ball used for New Years in New York.

This is a pretty interesting avatar, I'll admit. It's also very original and fun. But, let me go over this in more detail.

Vision/Originality: I've seen a few new years avatars, and I think using the emoticon for the ball was pretty creative and different. It's easy to tell this is supposed to be for new years. So well done on that.

Technique/impact: Now, there are a few things that could have made this avatar go from good to awesome, in my opinion. I would like to first say it would have been better if you started from 10. The only movement in this avatar was the lights and the small movement downwards of the emote. I think this REALLY takes away from the impact and makes this avatar seem pretty quiet, if that's what you were going for. Also, I think you should have done more when the ball hit zero. Something like confetti or fireworks might seem like a lot to add, but it would really help this avatar and would make a big difference.

All in all, I think this is an okay avatar, I just think you should give it more "oomph", do you know what I mean?
